What is CBD?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol (can•na•bi•di•ol). It is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the plant genus Cannabis Sativa. CBD accounts for up to 40% of the plant. The other prominent cannabinoid identified in cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. Since they present the highest concentrations in the plant, CBD and THC are the most recognized and studied compounds.
CBD is the non-psychoactive component of the plant while THC is the primary psychoactive constituent of cannabis. CBD offers a wide range of benefits without the "high" that is caused by THC.
